met with the lovely Deborah for coffee

at Esco Joe's this morning after music class,
& i loved catching up

she is learning to anchor her future with God's will.
it's so encouraging to hear her explain how the more
she relies on Him for everything, He proves Himself
faithful and blesses her for her patience and
motivation.

after talking with her and then Jamie previously,
i'm so tempted to travel to Europe
get plugged in with a church,

take residency while working,
become a citizen.
get free education.

travel where ever the Lord leads

sleep and breath in His presence,
waiting on His signal and wisdom.

now, that's the life.

for those who do not know,
i'm very determined to live in
a Spanish-speaking country.

i want adventure.
and i think that living in Christ
will be the most wild, rewarding thing.

  1. That's so cool! Perhaps some surprising news: Fall semester junior year I'll be studying abroad in Argentina. You should come with if you can raise the money! We can become fluent together! So exciting!

    How are you?

  2. no way! that's where I want to go!!!
    how much dinero?

i'm good. today was my lil brother's 18th birthday and so we had a nice breakfast and then ate out for lunch. hung out with my friend pedro and got a donut. went to work. went to a friend's surprise 50th birthday with the fam. good day...

school is becoming nuts but its almost Thanksgiving!

I've become involved with this AMAZING international student bible study thats been going on for 30 years. most people are from Japan, Korea, and China. My mom went when she was in college and its held at a house 10 min. away. this couple has become the most inviting and loving "parents" for many of these students who are so far from home. I've met some awesome girls that go to my college! it's so fun because 1) many many of the 40+ people that come every week do not know God in a personal way and 2) they would love to speak with an English speaker to practice :)

it's every friday night, so i'm stoked for next friday

    how are you?!

  3. It's just the cost of Baylor plus travel fees (aka plane ticket). Though there might be some difference in room & board costs, but at least tuition is the same and all scholarships you have at Baylor stay with you for the trip. It'd be awesome if we were there at the same time!

school for me is also kinda nuts. so ready for Christmas break.

that sounds so great! im trying hard to learn Chinese for the mission trip to China this summer. i guess you heard about that. do you think you are gonna go?

  4. haha nope, I won't be able to go to China or Argentina, most likely.

I really need to find a few jobs this summer and try to save up a few thousand dollars to pay for tuition/car

~that might mean, staying with my cousins in Austin and helping with the kids while also working

its really great to have so many friends who have the heart for missions and are ready to go! that's so exciting :)

honestly, right now it's the season for me to be diligent about my
    schooling/financial doo-dads
and become more responsible yah know?

He's been teaching me to be content with where ever He places me and I'm finding that means watching my siblings/friends travel far away when I have the heart to go, but He hasn't given me the wings yet :)
